Since Dan is an international English teacher I got the opportunity to meet some of his students who are around my age. I got to meet Lloyd first. We went out for sushi which was delicious and I tried some interesting foods I wouldn’t have if I was out by myself.
Eel is very popular in China and I didn’t think I would like it but it was good. Also the third picture has cooked salmon with iced mango on it which in your mouth has a very distinct feeling of hot and cold but very yummy. Also I thought I would try something which is the abdomen of tuna… Tasted like fish but it wasn’t my favourite texture.
Lloyd and I went to a Chinese garden called Liu. I was expecting to just walk around and observe but he actually use to be a tour guide there for the east section. So on that note, I got to know some history about the garden that I wouldn’t have known if I wasn’t with him.
In the garden there were so many lovely buildings, plants, and historic artifacts. As I said in one of my previous posts, China has such cool doors and entryways, so I got a lot of pictures.
Lloyd took me to a cute little resturant that was hidden down an alley. It was soo small but had such a big personality. There was just a small 2 seater couch with small foldable tables you could set up and a couple of stools to also sit on. We got a warm dessert and then some actual food. The two ladies there were so kind and giving to us. Once we finished up our food I tried to tell them that I liked their resturant in Chinese but ended up just having to show them the Chinese translation because they couldn’t understand me. They gave me a little bag of sesame treats as a gift, which was so cute. Once we left I took some pictures infront of their resturant and the lady came out and said she wanted some pictures with me but had to go change her hat first. She came back out with a very fancy fur hat on to take pictures.
Beautiful photo album!
