In the morning I got up early to use the kitchen to make myself some free breakfast, it felt nice “cooking”. I had to check out for the day but they kept my bag in storage so I didn’t have to lug it around or worry about it.
I relaxed and did some reading at the hostel before headed out for the day to explore a bit more.
I stumbled across a Japanese restaurant and because I felt I hadn’t had the best experience with food in Laos, I decided to treat myself to something I like. The restaurant was traditional in the way I had to remove my shoes at the door and they had floor seating.
When my drink and food arrived I was so happy. Definitely had a food coma after this.
I decided to visit another war museum. Even though I had already been to one in Luang Prabang I felt there was still more to learn. The museum was small but informative, I couldn’t believe what had happened to Laos in the war.
I was planning to go to the night market but it wasn’t opening until a little later. To kill some time after the museum, I stopped in at a cafe to grab a snack.

I made it to the night market and got some last minute souvenirs and new sandals. Because my sandals broke in Pai, Momo kindly gave me an extra pair. They did the job but they were so worn down and not my style at all. It was hard to say bye to them either way because of memories. Anyways I got some sandals from the market that felt like I was walking on clouds.

After the market it was time to get a ride to the airport. I headed back to the hostel to grab my ride and then I was off on the plane.
