In the morning I got picked up for my bus to Vientiane, the capital of Laos. Due to my early bus and my late flight the next day, I had 2 full days to explore Vientiane.
I booked one night at a hostel called “Barn 1920”. It was just slightly more expensive but the whole atmosphere of the place was amazing. It was like stepping into the 20’s, their music was playing from a record player, and there was a lot of decorative items from that era.
I got checked in to an all female dorm which felt so cozy. I headed back down to their little social/bar area and grabbed myself a free drink, matcha latte, and some congee. Unfortunately I couldn’t bring myself to eat the congee because I’m so fussy about uncooked eggs and the idea/texture was putting me off.
I was slowly packing and organizing my things for my flight in the room and ended up talking to 3 other girls who were in the bunk beds around me. We all agreed we were hungry and wanted to find some place to eat. We found a spot maybe 10 minutes walking distance away that we were all interested in and made our way there. It ended up being very good and we hung out for the night.
Once we were back at the hostel, there was a hidden upstairs area, it was also a social area but not really finished. We found some more old items. I ended the night with a lot of packing.
