We had such a good experience at Lagoon 4 we wanted to try a different one. The day started off with a lot of rain since it was slowly turning into rainy season here. We waited the rain out for a bit and left late afternoon for Lagoon 1. I went with Kelsey, Morgan, and Thibaut this time.
When we arrived it was busy. Not even busy from tourists but all locals! We didn’t realize it was such a popular spot for them, especially families, because there was also tours for caves that everyone loved. It was still kind of cold and wet and hard to find an open spot to set our stuff down. The lagoon was also not the cleanest or really anything special. It was quite small and more of a section of a river. I was a little sick already and didn’t feel like jumping in the cold, dirty water haha. Everyone else did for a few minutes and then got out. We mostly just hung out by the water for a couple hours and then left. Overall, not the best experience but that’s normal to have when travelling. (Apparently it wasn’t that special because I took no photos while we were there except for a golden crab statue😂) The views on the tuk tuk on the way back were nice though.

I met a girl on the train to Vang Vieng (Anna from Germany) and we really hit it off and exchanged socials. We wanted to meet up and she recommended a dinner spot she tried the other night and really enjoyed it. I invited some friends and on the way to the restaurant we walked through the night market, browsing for any things we might want to come back for. We met up with her and her friends and had a nice time. I got a chicken satay dish with a peanut sauce (it was amazing) and some garlic bread to share (also amazing). I have also been loving this smoothie made with lemons and fresh mint, it’s the most refreshing drink on earth.
