We all got up early for a quick local breakfast. Then we were off on the boat again. The second day of the tour included a 3 hour trek through the forest and kayaking. Only Thibaut wanted to do the trek as Kelsey and Morgan didn’t have the best fitness for it, and I opted out to stay with the girls. I would’ve done it if everyone did but I wasn’t really looking forward to a 3 hour hard level trek. Instead of the trek we stayed on the boat, lounging, reading, and they also showed us how they go fishing.

We met up with Thibaut at the end of his hike and picked him up. Afterwards we made a stop on the side of the river to indulge in some lunch. They fried up some fish they caught, and gave us some bananas and a noodle lunchbox.

We made our way down the river again and stopped at a small town to get out, stretch our legs, and explore.

As it was getting later in the day it started to turn grey and cloudy with a little rain. We were all on the fence about kayaking since it was cold and wet now. However, we decided to be optimistic and say it would be fun. We got to the spot with the kayaks, got our lifejackets and teamed up. Kelsey and I in one and Morgan and Thibaut in the other. It started out great, we were racing each other a bit making the most out of it. But then the water started getting more choppy and the wind was not going our direction. Morgan and Thibaut were falling behind a lot. They ended up getting picked up by the boat. However, Kelsey and I kept pushing forward. At one point I asked her if she was rocking the kayak because it felt so unsteady. It went downhill in 1 minute after that. I guess because of the wind and choppy water, our kayak had too much water in it for it to stabilize right and we ended up flopping right into the water. What a way to end the tour😂 We weren’t able to get into the boat because of its stability so we just swam the rest of the way to the pier, which was not far.
