Part 2.

We headed over to the first temple ever built in Pai. It was beautiful and out of respect no pictures taken inside.

We stayed there for a while before going to the next place, which unfortunately was closed. It was the “Long Neck Karen Village”. It would’ve been very interesting to learn about, but maybe another time.

Afterwards, we all agreed to go visit the White Buddha. It was a huge statue overlooking the town and I hadn’t visited it yet so I was looking forward to it. Momo dropped us off and went back to do work at the hostel. There were quite a few stairs leading up to the Buddha but honestly not the worst I had done.

We didn’t realize the walk up to the White Buddha was pretty short, and there was plenty of time until the sunset. So we all headed to the Pai Canyon instead to watch the sunset. It was just as beautiful as the first time I visited. The shadows of the clouds in the sky were something else too.

After watching the sunset, later in the evening we all went out together for some drinks and dancing.
