I think I fell in love with Pai because not only was the town and people amazing, but it became a place of rest for me. Backpacking is so fun but I forget how tiring it can become when you’re constantly moving and repacking your bag. Momo made me feel like family and the hostel felt like my home. I got very comfortable and enjoyed my slow days a lot.

I started the day off visiting a cute cafe for some breakfast, a beautiful smoothie bowl. Spent awhile there reading and journaling.

Afterwards was another pool day with a snack. I got a little hut to myself and the view was beautiful.

To end the day off I hopped on a scooter and went to a sunset lookout spot. Unfortunately, the place was closed because when I pulled up, there was a huge tarp around the area. Two other people were there and told me it was okay to come in if I just go under the tarp. I think they were volunteers but they told me they were taking a few days to renovate which is why it was closed, but I was welcome to grab a seat. I caught the sun a bit before it went down behind the mountains and called it a day.
