In the morning, Momo wanted to celebrate Songkran with me and take me out. I had some breakfast which was more than plenty and something they just casually whipped up at the hostel because I said I was hungry.
Afterwards we headed out on the scooters through the streets of Pai and so many people were throwing buckets of water on us or using water guns. It was crazy. We ended up back at the hostel to wait for some of his friends to come by as well. He got an expensive bottle of wine and insisted on sharing it with me, his friends as well. I think it was his way of having a little celebration for Songkran and I was just happy to be included with him. His friends were hilarious too.
We all ended up going out again to 7/11 and some others from the hostel joined us too. I became friends with them during their stay, Sylvie and Arthur(from UK). This is the only clear video I got of Songkran, but I appreciate that, because I was in the moment for the whole festival.

In the evening, Songkran was still going on but was slowing down. Also thanks to the walking street with all the night food vendors people knew not to fight with water around there. In Pai, I was already staying longer than most people who were also visiting. A lot of people would come for 2-3 and because I planned for a week, or even 2, I ended up being the one constant person staying at Paifah. I was Momo’s longest staying guest and he would treat me like family. I loved it and I got to meet so many cool travelers staying at Paifah. Some guests would end up staying an extra night or two which I found really cute because it was due to Momo.
There were also 4 girls from UK travelling together, they were all so sweet, and we all went out to the night market for shopping and dinner. We found the most amazing falafel stand.
