I fell in love with Pai quickly. A good chunk was due to good people and Momo. I felt very comfortable and the hostel felt like a little family. Mostly had dinner either on walking street or Momo would cook up Thai dishes for us. Besides that, I loved how it wasn’t a huge city and it was built in and around the nature. I loved Chiang Mai but it was a huge city center, and all the beautiful nature was an hour drive outside of the city. With Pai I was able to rent a scooter and go to the mountain top in 10 minutes to watch a sunset. That to me is priceless. Momo really isn’t a good business man because of how kind and generous he is. Usually you have to pay per day/scooter or per kg/laundry, but he offered them to me for free.

Paifah Hostel: simple and had everything you needed.

The 2 huts were amazing the first time visiting. I caught a really lovely sunset and they had live music playing in the background. It was so peaceful as it was in the middle of no where and everyone went out of their way to relax and hangout at one spot.
