So many things happened my first few days in Pai. I was spending most my time soaking up the time I had with all my friends from Chiang Mai, because they were leaving soon. Pai was also known for having the silliest activity which was called “tipsy tubing”. It’s in the name, it consists of a bunch of tourists getting in the river on tubes and floating down with drinks. It happened every Tuesday and Friday. My first week in Pai I went both days because of all the friends I made, it was a very social event and fun. I also had three roommates from Montreal in my hostel, and they came as well.
The second stop had body paint, so of course everyone was just randomly painting themselves.
The tubing ended around 5 pm at the last stop. I ended up going back to my hostel, Paifah, to shower and clean up for the night. We ended up grabbing some dinner and went to a bar with some nice live music.
The next day was very lowkey, exploring Pai and its cute cafes, and grabbing dinner at the night market with some friends.
