I love caves, but sometimes they can blend into each other if I visit a lot in a short period of time. But this cave was unbelievable, it was like visiting another planet. The girls and I had breakfast and then decided to rent scooters for the day. There was a place called the botanical gardens that we wanted to visit first. It ended up just being a hike with some waterfalls to see, but still enjoyable. The drive was a little farther with more hills, so the scooters were definitely worth it. The views while driving were stunning, and we were all just in awe the whole time.
We made it to the “botanical garden” and did some hiking from there. It was so humid and also wet so I was being very careful this time not to injure myself.🤣
We got some iced coffee after and then continued onto the caves. Once we arrived we didn’t know you had to hike up a whole mountain to get there. Stairs after stairs after stairs… but we finally made it. It was absolutely beautiful.
We found a restaurant there, just had very interesting dishes, especially the “helicopter catfish”!🤣
On our way back to the hostel it was a nice drive until about 15 minutes left. It started spitting.. then raining..🥲. All we could do was just keep going. We went to the same restaurant as the day before and I got a chicken noodle soup to warm me up.
Hope had a film camera, and was sweet enough to send me one of the pictures she took of me and cerys.
