Sapa is known for its trekking, and I’m quite sad I wasn’t able to do it. But I was still able to visit Cat Cat Village which was on my list of things I wanted to do. I rented a scooter for the day and made my way there. It was only about a 6 minute drive but then I had to walk about 15 minutes from the parking to the actual village. It was good activity and saw some cute buffalos on the way.

Before even reaching the main Village they had many stores lining the streets to look at and cute scenery.

There was a lot of stairs down… which in the moment I don’t think about the fact that I have to go up them when I leave.😭 I finally arrived in Cat Cat Village and it honestly didn’t disappoint. I heard mixed reviews about it before mostly being too touristy but honestly all of Vietnam is touristy. Plus the village was a very cute tourist place so I loved it.😊

I’m not exactly sure why but in the village a lot of Vietnamese women were dressed up in traditional clothes, they were beyond beautiful. All the women looked like princesses, it really added to the atmosphere for me.

I ended up finding a cute restaurant with an upper level to relax in, and got some snacks. From the Ha Giang Loop my driver, Bao, let me try some buffalo jerky. Honestly it was really good. So I got a couple pieces and a barbecued yam for lunch. So simple and so tasty.

While I was eating I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw my favouriteee people, Chloe and Lew, walking through the village. They were about to cross a bridge that came directly towards me, so I ran downstairs and surprised them. It was the cutest thing, they ended up joining me for some drinks at the restaurant and it was so nice seeing them again. After that, we all ended up heading back to our scooters and they invited me out to dinner with them. I still had about 3 hours to kill before I had to catch my bus, so of course I had to accept. I got back to my hostel to rest for 15 minutes and then headed out to meet them for dinner. We ended up all getting poutine and a bunch of other dishes!😂 It was so fun to catch up with them.

I was so sad to leave them, because we were both going in different directions now, and I knew I wouldn’t randomly bump into them again.😭 We said our goodbyes and got some pictures with our cute little scooter helmets on, safety first! Also, Sapa just lit up at night, it was beautiful.

I got yet another sleeper bus around 9:40 pm, which would take me to Ninh Binh next.
