I feel like a must stop when you’re in Hanoi is to visit train street. And that’s exactly what I did. The street is lined with the cutest cafes and restaurants. I just fell in love instantly with all the lanterns and plants strung up everywhere. It was such a vibe even if there wasn’t a train.

We ended up at a little cafe for a quick drink. I got to try the famous egg coffee everyone talks about. It was pretty amazing.

A bunch of us from the hostel ended up getting a perfect spot to see the train go by and it was very hard to resist the urge to touch it while it was going by.

I couldn’t help myself but be a tourist and get photos on the train tracks.

The rest of the day was spent doing a little shopping and wandering, and of course food!

Later that night I was able to see Deb again for a beer! It’s very rare that I bump into a fellow Canadian while travelling but I’m glad I did, and that it was Deb. 😊
