Man oh man, I don’t even know where to start, the driving situation, the food, the views.. I’m already falling in love.
Let’s start with the driving because it was the first main thing I was shocked at. I heard driving in Vietnam was crazy but seeing it in person is something else.😅
I took an Uber, called Grab here, and it was just hilarious seeing that they have lanes but no one uses them. My driver was either in two lanes or on the total opposite side of the road but somehow it just works. I haven’t seen any accidents here which is crazy. Also, more scooters than cars haha.
The rules for crossing the street is basically look both ways then go for it🤣. You just have to keep walking and traffic will just go around you.
I came here for the culture, aka FOOD. Day one I spent a total of $8.50 on food and everything was so tasty and filling.
Yes, I got banh mi twice. It’s too good and for $2, it’s impossible to not get. Also sitting on the tiny stools outside the shop with new travel friends makes it that much better.😊(Annabel & Tess) The king roti was a highly suggested place to get sweet buns. Soft and fluffy on the inside and a nice crust on the outside, I got matcha.
As for the views just have a look for yourself.
