(May 20th) Since I was on the west coast and Christchurch was on the east I had another bus ride waiting for me. The only route to get there was through Arthur’s Pass which goes in between all the mountain ranges. Unfortunately since I was planning everything last minute every hotel and hostel that was in the town in the middle of Arthur’s Pass was completely full so I wasn’t able to book a night to stay there and explore. Fortunately they weren’t fully booked for the train or else that would ruin my plans. Surprisingly the train ride only took about 4-5 hours. Arthur’s Pass is known for its beautiful scenery and they even had a little radio you could listen to that would point out certain areas and give the details and history about it.
