I have been in China for a week, so I am a bit behind on updating but boy do I have stories and many many pictures to share.

To start off, I’m staying with my family friends Dan and Haruko who have graciously taken me in as one of their own. I’m in a city called Suzhou and it is actually Suzhou Industrial Park. It has many bodies of water and canals that make up the city and has been named the “Venice of China”. It has been a great experience getting to know this area that is mostly another city like Toronto, but then be able to take a subway 40 minutes out and be in an ancient town with amazing architecture. The view from our apartment is quiet nice. The sun was behind our building but we were able to see the sunset reflect off the other building.
