(May 14th) I only had one day to explore Napier which seems like a short time but I feel like I really got to know the town in that short time. In the morning I walked around the town with a friend I met at the hostel, we relaxed by the ocean which was so calming and peaceful. We were looking for a coffee shop but ended up in a store asking the employee where were could find one. There was a piano in the front available to be played. My friend played and sang a song for me and the employee to listen and it was so nice. They made me play a song on the piano as well which I was a little rusty at but it was a really fun time. By that time I had to go wait for my bus and I made sure I was extra early because I was so paranoid I would miss it again.

I caught the bus down to Wellington with a stop in the middle to get up and stretch and get some food. I went to a little restaurant and got a Thai chicken pie thingy, I really have no idea what exactly it was but it looked and tasted really good. On the bus ride there the sun reflected on the clouds and created a pink colour which was beyond beautiful. But of course every time I try to take photos on the bus they don’t capture it well since I’m moving.
