(May 9th) The next morning I had to wake up early because I had a full day ahead of me. I had booked a tour to take me to the shire which was the only way to see it. There was only about 10 of us in the group which was a nice little group. The drive there was so beautiful with green hills and sheep everything. Even though the weather was amazing it was still off season there and when we arrived at the shire there wasn’t many people there. It made pictures even better with no people in the shots.

I couldn’t believe my eyes when we walked around in the little neighborhood. I’ve always loved the look of the hobbit holes and it was so cool to see them in person. Each hobbit hole had its own personality with different objects and signs on the front lawn to decorate them. The tour guide was very nice to offer pictures for people which I accepted many times. She told us some pretty interesting but bizarre facts about the scenes in the movies.

There was one cute hobbit hole that I loved because it had a bunch of art supples in the front. It was also the only hobbit hole that we were allowed to go in and look at. My tour guide said don’t look if you want to be disapointed because it wasn’t furnish and it was just a dirt floor. I was still so excited to see it and I wish I could live there.

We were done the tour of the shire except one last part, the tavern. We got to explore the tavern, grab a free drink, and walk around the Mill. It was absolutely beautiful there since they have a gardening crew that work there year round.
