The morning with my relatives, one of Kenji and Ritsuko’s son,Yoshiro, and his family took me out to Kumamoto castle. He was such a crazy and excited person but very fun to be around. They had a friend come along and she was introduced as Rocky and I don’t even remember her real name. She was a little better at English and helped explain a lot about the castle. It was such a fun day bonding with them and every little monument he wanted my phone so he could take a picture.
They were very kind and unfortunately due to an earthquake a few years ago they were doing reconstruction on the castle so we couldn’t go inside. It was still amazing because the cherry blossoms in Kumamoto were full bloom and were all around the castle.
We had to say our goodbyes and I found it even crazier that I got to meet my relatives in Japan. They were such an inviting group of people and I hope I’ll have a chance to meet them in my life again to pay them back for all their hospitality.
