(March 12th) My second and last full day I decided to wake up at 5 am to go see the sunrise. There were 3 other travelers in my room that I had good chats with the previous night and we all decided to go together for the sunrise. It was pretty chilly in the morning especially with no sunlight and the walk took around 20 minutes. We actually got there a little early and had to wait a little bit to see the full sunrise. I didn’t even do my hair, makeup, or anything just got up, bundled up, and left. It was actually very freeing to not care, it was 5 am and I was not having it. Besides the tiredness you feel waking up really early, something about just having so much time in your day afterwards is very rewarding. Obviously seeing the sunrise is a plus.
We all enjoyed some chai tea back at the hostel that one guy brought from India. Since it was a big travel day for me I wanted a decent breakfast and went out to Denny’s. It was crazy that I already had to check out and even though it was a short visit it was well worth it to stop and see the famous Mount Fuji.
