I’ve heard Colorado was the most active state in USA, with people hiking, biking, and just being outdoors more. So it makes sense that all of Hannah’s friends love hiking and going outdoors. Her friend, Afia, had a small mobile home that was in a town called Buena Vista, around 2-3 hours away. Hannah planned to have a girls get away with some other friends, and I was invited. I was happy to be so welcomed by everyone. Afia, Hannah, and I all drove there together and the others met us there.
It was a really fun road trip with good company, music, and views. We stopped in at this deli and got sandwiches for lunch, they were so good.
We wanted to do some hikes on this trip. There was one which was about 3 miles they wanted to do, and I was just along for the ride. I loved it, I would hike more back home if the views and trails were this nice.
We made our way to Afia’s tiny home and it was so cute. It somehow fit 3 double beds, a small kitchen, a bathroom, and a couch. Obviously it was a little crowded but surprisingly it worked for all 6 of us staying there.
Everyone was slowly arriving and I got to meet all the girls. There was Lucy, Courtney and Gabriella. Once we got all settled in, we got ready for dinner.
We headed out for dinner which was a little on the fancier/expensive side. We ended up grabbing some drinks and waiting for a table to open up, but the food was worth it in the end.
I really enjoyed getting to know Hannah’s friends over dinner and they were all astonished hearing about my trip as well. Around the corner was an icecream shop, perfect for a night cap.
When we got there it was super busy. They were closing soon and ended up giving out this small sign to me. It was funny because when we finally made it to the front I handed it to another worker and she asked “where did you get this?” I was confused but said it was given to me. She was just as confused because apparently they almost never used it and said I got lucky. Free icecream!
We ended up having a little dance party in the shop and the workers took a song request from us.😂 Very fun and good vibes.
Back at the tiny home and we all were all taking turns getting ready for bed. We were getting up early tomorrow for a hike so most of us were in bed by 11pm. I think the jet lag was still affecting me and helped me sleep early, which came in handy.
