Hannah wanted to make sure that I got a good experience in Colorado and planned a few outings for us with her friends. We only had a week together so we had a busy schedule ahead of us. Today we were going camping with one of her oldest friends, Daniel. We got everything ready and headed out to his house. He was super nice and drove us, so we put all our stuff in his car and headed off. It was only about a 2 hour drive to get to the camping site and on the way the views were so nice.

We stopped halfway through to get more supplies like firewood and food. Once we arrived, we found a decent spot on the side of the mountain to set up camp. I hadn’t been camping in years. I forgot how much work it was but also how much I enjoyed it.

Once we got everything set up for later, we headed back out to do a little hike nearby.

We headed out at the right moment because it started to get really windy and cloudy. We stopped in at the closest town to window shop and grab anything else we needed. It was mostly to pass the time and since the sun came out again we grabbed a drink on the patio.

Once back at the campsite, we started the fire and pulled out some cards. Then it was dinner time, good old hotdogs.

We stayed up talking into the night and enjoying the views. Hannah and I were going to share her tent but she brought her hammock so she ended up sleeping outside.

We were all freezing in the night, thank god Hannah gave me extra sweaters and sweatpants to wear, but of course in the morning we were all sweating. The joys of camping. Day 2 next:)
