I had researched and heard about this “Open Air Museum” and it seemed quite unique and interesting. It was still about history and all that jazz but the layout of how they presented all the information was more intriguing to me. I’m not a museum person but when I see a cool/different museum I’m more inclined to go. It was in Arnhem which was pretty close by. The whole museum was basically outside and showcased how the Dutch use to live.
They had an old tram that went around the whole area so you could either walk the trail or hop on/off the tram to get around. I mostly walked because it was a really nice day but took the tram at the end just for the fun of it.
This place was like a maze. There were so many random spots to go see but at the same time it felt like I was walking around a neighbourhood. There were a lot of the windmills(which Netherlands is known for), farms, old houses, it basically was a recreated little town.
At least my hostel beds were better than those.😅
The greenery in Netherlands was beautiful but on this day, this place was even more so with the sun out.

I found it very cool to see how people used to live in real life representation rather than in pictures and text.
Old school laundromat & paper making:

There was a garden with some greenhouses. I definitely got all my steps in that day because I couldn’t help but continue walking around.

There was one windmill that allowed you to go inside and up 2 levels. The views were quite nice.

Some last stops into the past.

After finishing at the museum I got some lunch and headed back home. Had a night in and made myself some type of curry dinner and watched the hot air balloons.
