Me and another girl, I can’t remember her name, but she was Dutch. We both agreed we wanted a relaxing day and there was a public swimming pool about 5 minute drive from us. Before that though, I had a little ritual in the morning at Momo’s which was having some Vietnamese coffee from his small coffee/tea station. I missed the coffee in Vietnam and this prepackaged coffee was very similar to it. In the afternoon, we took off to the pool. We took one turn too early and ended up in the most random place. We could see the pool but we couldn’t get there walking. All we had to do was get back on the scooter and go back on the street to the next turn and there was a big sign for the swimming pool haha. It was well taken care of and huge. I ordered some lunch which was a chicken pesto sandwich with a Thai iced tea. Later that evening, we had gotten all cleaned up after the pool and wanted to try this Banh mi place that always had a line up on the street. We decided to check it out and got super lucky because the line up hadn’t started yet. These banh mi’s weren’t tradtional, they were yummy, but I would just call them a sandwich. They were also massive, we split one for dinner and I couldn’t even finish the half. Momo and I had talked about going out with eachother, so we went out that night. There were only a few main bars/clubs that tourists would go to so I went out to those with Momo. After awhile I told him I would love to go to a Thai bar and he was ecstatic. The Thai Bar was pretty fun, all Thai people of course. But the thing that got me was they were playing all English artists pop songs from 2010 from, so for me it was all throwback songs. They did end up playing some Thai songs which is what I wanted to hear.
