As beautiful as the island was, there wasn’t a whole lot to do, which was fine by me. I imagined the south of Thailand to be more laid back in terms of things to do. In my head it consisted of snorkelling and beaches.

I started the day off with the freshest mango smoothie ever, I swear the mango you eat here melts in your mouth. I had a little time on the beach and got some lunch after.

I headed back to the hostel later afternoon to recharge and cool down. There was a viewpoint “hike” that I really wanted to do. It wasn’t too far from my hostel and it was a quick walk up to the viewpoint. The only problem was just the endless stairs and the heat.🤣 I finally made it up as a sweaty mess but the sunset was worth it from there.

Viewpoint

There was viewpoint 1 which was beautiful for sunset, but you could also continue up to the second viewpoint. I wanted to try but half way up the sun was already pretty much gone so there was no point to go up more.

South Thailand is known for crazy fire shows on the beaches. Decided to check it out tonight. I was not disappointed, it was really entertaining and they had people come up to participate either with fire limbo or fire jump rope.

These guys were absolutely insane to be doing things that are normally hard enough, and then adding fire to the mix. I guess that’s where the entertainment comes in haha. After their show they let more people come join on stage.

I participated in the limbo but only when it was at the highest level🤣 I wasn’t about to burn all my hair off. The jump rope was fun to watch otherrrr people do it. One of the workers did it while holding his friend, it was pretty funny and impressive.

I headed back to the hostel for the night and it kinda looked like the Barbie movie, everything was so pink. It was cute but again not many people were staying there.
