I always believed that if I ended up in Thailand I’d have to visit Phi Phi Island. Just from how beautiful the waters looked and how it was portrayed on social media. It’s crazy that today was the day I was actually going, it felt like a dream. I caught the ferry in the morning, it was a beautiful day for a boat ride.
I met Benji, on the ferry over. He was on his gap year from the UK, it just put it into perspective my gap year travels were 5 years ago. He was really sweet and we just helped each other find some food when we arrived on the island. I got a shrimp papaya salad, which was delicious besides the raw shrimp. I think they purposely make it like that, but it was not my taste.
The walk to my hostel was dreamy. Felt like a slice of paradise. 🙂
We checked into the same hostel, which was maybe the wrong choice because the hostel just opened that day. It was still a little disorganized and not many people staying. It was honestly so hot I didn’t feel like walking and going to a different hostel. Benji and I just grabbed some dinner later, pad thai’s, of course.
I spent the evening walking around the island and relaxing. 🙂
