After a goods nights rest, we all got up for 8 am to enjoy some yummy breakfast and get back on the road. The weather was so much better, by noon it warmed right up with the sun out. I ended up shedding all my layers and could just wear a t-shirt on the bike. It felt amazing.

With many stops to look at the breathtaking views, or grab a coffee, (or pee run), it was a lovely day.

I still can’t get over the fact they have holes in the grounds for toilets, but this was literally a toilet in the ground.🤣 Makes me grateful every time I get to use a normal toilet. To be fair it’s only been in Ha Giang where the toilet situations are questionable like this. Haha

Not much to say besides I had the time of my life listening to music and cruising on the back of a bike with beautiful views surrounding me.

Just.. wow.

Ha Giang is not the most well off area. The thing that shocks me the most is the difference in their housing here. What you’d think would be an abandoned old house in Canada is what they functionally live in. It truly makes me think about what we really need to live.

Just around 4pm all our drivers pulled over randomly. They told us we could do a 1.5 hour hike towards our homestay for the night, or continue on the bikes. The whole group opted for the hike, but I was hesitant due to not being 100% recovered from being sick. I ended up going for it because at the same time I was thinking a hike? How bad could it be?

Oh boy how I was wrong.😂🥲 Next Post!
