Queenstown had many popular restaurants to visit one in particular was a burger place called Fergburger. There was also another place that was similar to that called Devils Burger. A group of us got dinner at Devils Burger that night and walked around town. We had a full night planned out by the contiki tour with visiting the Below Zero Ice Bar, then Karaoke.

Earlier in the day when we were on the bus and Josh was letting us know about our plans that night he asked all the Canadians to raise their hands. Once all our hands were up he said “alright you guys don’t need any jackets or gloves when we visit the Ice Bar.” It was a funny joke and we all burst out complaining to him as a joke.

The Ice Bar was amazing. As soon as we got there we got huge puffy jackets, gloves, and boots if we needed. Then we all got to go in the the bar where everything, and I mean everything was made out of ice. The chairs, menus, cups, decorations, and even an air hockey table you could play on.

There was a time limit to our stay at the Ice Bar, which makes sense because you would end up freezing if we stayed any longer. The next bar we visited was amazing because there was a real fireplace there that we could warm up next to. They also had these fancy shots that tasted like gingerbread and were to die for. Our whole contiki group was there and we had the place to ourselves and we were all enjoying some karaoke and having a blast. A group of girls and I ended up singing all together to the song “I wanna dance with somebody” and it was just such a fun time. We had one last bar to stop at which had more dancing and from there people headed back to get some sleep.
