(May 25th)

This. Was. One. Of. My. Favourite. Places. Ever.

The beauty of this place was unreal, no question why it is the eighth wonder of the world. First off before even arriving to Milford sound the drive alone struck me with awe. Josh played the perfect song that is now etched into my memories and always reminds me of Milford Sound. Wait by M83

We took a quick stop to take a little walk along a trail in the forest which was fun.

Then we headed back to the bus and got to the boat finally. We all headed straight to the top deck and the view was just amazing.

We were offered coffee or tea to help keep us warm. A big chunk of us decided to stay on the outside deck to have a better view. Not even half way through the boat ride our captain took a little detour and headed straight towards a huge waterfall off the side of a cliff. It was horrific because he was getting so close to the cliff I thought we were going to crash.  He got to a perfect distance where the waterfall was practically pouring over us and we all got drenched. It was hilarious to see everyone getting soaked and has become such a good memory of mine. We also got to see a seal which was very cute but as soon as we saw it, it just laid down and blended in with the rocks.

We finally came back to the dock which was relieving since we were all frozen cold and just wanted to get warmed up on the bus. The drive back was beautiful (obviously) and we ended up stopping in the middle of no where and it reminded me of the scenery in the movie, the sound of music.
