From Lake Tekapo we just traveled around the lake to another scenic point to stop and take pictures quickly. In the background you can see the tallest mountain in New Zealand called Mt. Cook. We took pictures trying to make it look like we were holding it up. After that we made our way to our hotel for the night.

As we were pulling up to our hotel our tour guide, Josh, told us a plan to prank the person who was coming on the bus soon to welcome us all the the hotel and get us settled in. Josh told us he does this every time to the same guy with all his tour groups. Our plan was to keep our faces neutral with no emotion and not say anything(even hi). The guy came on the bus and talked to us for about 5 minutes and was asking if we were excited and giving us a lot of enthusiasm while we were all keeping, or at least trying to,straight faces. By the end we were all pretty much barely holding in our laughter and once he left the whole bus filled up with laughter. Josh stood up at the front and informed us while he was laughing that apparently that was a new employee and not the regular guy he pranks. It was all such a weird but fun experience. We all got our stuff from under the bus and made our way to our rooms. I hit it off with a few girls I was sitting by in the bus so we decided to share a room. The sun was just about to set and everyone on the tour made their way down towards the waterfront to take in the view.

We all headed back for a big buffet dinner and to warm ourselves up after watching the sunset. A group of us headed to the hotubs to watch the stars once it was fully dark. It was amazing because where we were there was no light pollution so there were so many stars showing.
