This was such a great day. Sakoda was so kind and took me and Asami on a little roadtrip to try and find my relatives. My dad had their address but their contacts all had changed so we had to hunt them down.

When we arrived no one was home which was dissapointing and we got in the car and left. Just as we got on the road Sakoda asked someone he saw about my relatives and the guy we asked got in his car so we could follow him to their work. He took us to a huge farm where they grew tomatoes. As soon as they came out and found out I was Mark and Andreas daughter they were so shocked. They couldn’t really believe it because the last time they saw me was when I was 2 years old. We sat down to talk and at the end they asked if I could stay with them. I was so happy to stay with them but it was a challenge to talk to them.

I got to spend the night at my relatives house( Kenji and Ritsuko’s house). I managed to talk to them a bit and their kids who had families lived around the area came for dinner. Fortunately there was a younger girl there who had taken english lessons recently so she became the translator for the night. There was so much food and many many leftovers but it was such a good time just bonding with people I have never really known.

We took a little family photo and I got to hold Wakana. The other small cutie was Misuki. What I couldn’t believe was the age and energy of Kiyono-San. She is 92 years old and was walking around no problem and even remembered my dad when he visited.
