The funny thing is that I didn’t even know this was Hitoyoshi castle ruins until a week later. Me and Asami walked through the town, went to a little museum on Hitoyoshis past, and mostly walked around the beautiful area by the river.
We had an awesome dinner that night and I took a photo that looked too good not to post.
Beautiful spring blossoms. I remember going to a grand sumo tournament held on the Hitoyoshi castle ruins. My friend in Hitoyoshi who ran the yakiniku restaurant was called to be one of the official BBQ-ers for the sumo wrestlers and I got to tag along. Fond memories of meeting the champion himself, Chiyonofuji!
