(March 13th) When I woke up that morning I couldn’t believe it had snowed! Through my trip I was hoping to skip the whole winter season in Canada and be in warm countries. It wasn’t that bad though it made the scenery more beautiful and by the afternoon it melted away and was a really warm day. Someone even tried to make a snowman, which was cute but melted pretty quickly.
I relaxed in the hostel since it was a bit cloudy out to see Mount Fuji clearly. Then when it was warmer I decided to go to an Onsen again. This one was better mostly because it was a little smaller, way less crowded, and I think just going by myself was more relaxing. I got another “ice capp” drink they had there after and then headed back to my hostel.

While I was walking back I went off course and found myself at a few shrines. Every shrine I had been to so far were very touristy or there were many locals. But these ones were completely empty which gave the atmosphere a different feeling.
By the afternoon the weather was really nice and I decided to rent a bike at the hostel to go along the lakeside. It was the best idea ever. It felt so unreal getting to ride a bike along the lakeside with Mount Fuji and other mountains surrounding me. It was almost like a perfect movie scene because it felt too good to be true. Many people said to stay more than one day because you might not get to see Mount Fuji depending on the weather but I got very lucky. That day it was such a great view and the next day was even better.
The couple at the hostel said going around the whole lake takes around 4 hours which I didn’t want to do. I just road my bike down to a nice viewing point and ended up sitting on some stairs to paint.
It was getting cold from the wind so I decided to pack up and head into a cafe nearby. I got some coffee and sat by the window just waiting for the sunset. It was just an amazing time just relaxing there and so peaceful.
