(February 17th)On Sunday I got to meet Simeng. We went to the Suzhou Museum in the morning and had to go around 9 right when it opened so we didn’t have to wait in the line. For a girl who’s not that into history it was pretty interesting there. They had many tiny sculptures or carvings into objects. Even though I can’t read Chinese I loved their calligraphie and there were many scrolls with it or either drawings.

The outside of the museum had a cool layout of the building and the walkway across the water. They had rocks in a certain formation that when you looked at it from the front it looked like a mountain range. There were also so many goldfish, and not just the ‘orange’ goldfish they had actual goldfishs, (yellow),black, and white.

We grabbed some food, which I forgot to take pictures of, and then carried along to Suzhou Wall. Even though they have the Great Wall, they also had walls containing cities and so there use to be a wall surrounding Suzhou. It isn’t there anymore but just a small section and by small I mean we walked all the way around it and on top of it in 10 minutes. It did have a little museum on the history of it but had no English so I could only look at pictures. After that we had no idea what to do and she said we could go to a hip hop dance class. I was really hesitant at first but decided to go. We went there for a class at 3 which was actually k pop and that ended at 4:30. It was such a workout and we stayed from 4:30-6 for the hip hop class too. We actually met up with Anna, the other student, at dance by accident because she goes there a lot. I actually enjoyed it a lot and I went many times throughout the following week. It’s funny pretending to know what the dance teachers trying to say while she explains a dance move. I learned Chinese numbers a little better from dance. After that we grabbed a bite to eat which was so good and only cost us $7 all together.
