It felt weird being there for my last weekend and having to pack up all my stuff. But they were a good and relaxed last couple of days. Friday nights are also a night to go out with everyone and have a few drinks. Saturday we had a pool party and I got to pick up my clothes that I got tailored. They didn’t do exactly what I told them to but it all still worked out and I do like them. We ended up getting pizza down the road and I got to talk to 3 amazing girls about their lives and travels.

Sunday I was going to go bunjee jumping but decided it would be better in New Zealand… So got to relax and go out for lunch to a cute cafe.

Me and 3 other volunteers went out for Indian food for my last dinner in Zambia. It was really interesting because we really got to talk about our opinions and ideas about the projects we were doing. Our conversations were eye opening for me to the real world and what to expect when I’m a bit older.

Monday morning I had to do last minute packing and then the bell rang for everyone to gather to say goodbye. I had to say bye to everyone and it was very emotional once I got in the van and actually left them. I’ve had an amazing time experiencing volunteering with AfricanImpact and also making great friends on this first step of my journey.

Bye bye, hopefully there’s a next time.
